Collecting Food for the Needy- The Bristol Food Bank is in always in need of food. Our parish collects food all year around. If you would like to donate, our churches will be open on Sundays from 8:00 am to 12:00 Noon, you can drop off the food then, or at the parish office Wednesday through Friday from 9:30 AM-2:30 PM. Thank you and God Bless!


Hospitality Sunday– First Sunday of the month from September through May, in the school hall, following Sunday morning masses. Stop in the school hall to socialize with other parishioners and enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and donuts after each mass. Suspended until further notice.


Divine Mercy Chaplet- with adoration to follow. The first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM @ Saint Mark Church. Beginning on September 7, 2022.

Holy Hour- Come spend an hour in Eucharistic adoration in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Join us for adoration, prayer, and reflection. All are welcome.  

Next Spanish Holy hour will be on Friday May 6, 2022 @ 7:00 PM at St. Mark Church. Next English Holy hour- Date TBA-Monday @ 7:00 PM at St. Ann.

Three Kings Celebration/ Día de Los Tres Reyes–  Feast Day January 6th. This annual event is celebrated with a Mass and  followed by a social in the parish hall. Traditional food and desserts served. Games and Activities for the children.  Mass only on January 2, 2022. No social due to COVID-19.


Restoration of St. Mark Church- Work began on January 28, 2022, and for the safety of our parishioners, confession and all our masses were moved to our St. Ann Worship Site. If you would like to donate to the restoration project, click here to be directed to our parish giving project page, or use the envelopes in the special mailing sent to all parishioners.

St. Blaise Feast Day and Blessing of the Throats- February 3rd. We celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise with the annual blessing of the throats. The blessing will take place after each weekend mass.


Saint Valentine’s Day Dance- This annual event is held the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in February, from 7:00 PM – 12:00AM in the school hall. Open to parishioners and friends ages 21+. Appetizers, dinner, dessert, beer, wine and soda. Tickets available in mid January. Volunteer and Donations always welcomed.  Canceled for 2021 and 2022 due to COVID.


Distribution of Ashes-Our Lenten Celebrations will begin this week coming with Ash Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Because of the current church restoration, ashes will be distributed at the 8:00 am Mass, Noon Service, and a 6:30 pm bilingual Mass at St. Ann Church. It is a day of penitence and preparation. Pope Francis has also announced that March 2, 2022 will be a “Day of Fasting for Peace” for Ukraine, saying, “I encourage believers in a special way to dedicate themselves intensely to prayer and fasting on that day. May the Queen of Peace preserve the world from the madness of war.”

Distribución de Cenizas- Nuestras celebraciones de Cuaresma comienzan esta semana, con miercoles de cenisa, el 2 de marzo. Debido a la restauración de nuestra iglesia, las cenizas se distribuirán em 2 de marzo, en la misa de las 8:00 am, el servicio del mediodía y una misa bilingüe de las 6:30 pm en la iglesia Santa Anna. Es un día de penitencia y preparación. El Papa Francisco también anunció que el 2 de marzo de 2022 será un “Día de ayuno por la paz” para Ucrania, diciendo: “Animo a los creyentes de manera especial a dedicarse intensamente a la oración y al ayuno en ese día. Que la Reina de la Paz preserve al mundo de la locura de la guerra”.


Saint Patrick’s Day Mass- Our 19th Annual Mass in honor of St. Patrick is sponsored by the AOH Bristol Div. 1. This year it will be held on Sunday, March 13th at the 10:30 am Mass at our Saint Ann Worship Site. Followed by a small social in the St. mark school gym. Desserts and baked goods appreciated.  Our thanks to all who helped out, participated and attended our 2022 event!


Stations of the Cross during Lent- Because of the church current restoration, the stations will take place at our St. Ann Worship Site, every Friday evening during Lent. March 4th- April 15th at 7:00 pm. Hope you can join us.

Las Estaciones de la Cruz durante la Cuaresma- Se llevarán a cabo en St. Ann, en ingles, todos los viernes por la noche durante la Cuaresma.  Desde el 4 de marzo al 15 de abril a las 7:00 p. m. Los esperamos.


Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation- Wednesday, March 16, 2022, 6:30 PM at our St. Ann Worship Site. The children in our school, PREP/CCD program and members of our parish will celebrate the sacrament for the first time. Several priests will be available. Join us in praying for them.

A special thanks to our teachers and PREP/CCD Catechist who have helped prepare them for this special day. May God Bless and guide them.


Distribution of Palm- April 10, 2022 Palms will be distributed after each mass, on Palm Sunday.

 


Catholic Daughter’s Annual Fritz’s Sticky Buns Sale- April 9th and 10th, 2022. Fundraiser will take place on Palm Sunday weekend before and after all Masses at both St. Ann & St. Mark churches. The cost is $10.00 per half dozen. Varieties are plain, cream cheese, walnuts, raisins, and nut/raisin mix. Each box contains only one flavor. Please save the date and help the Catholic Daughters fund their charity work this year.

St. Mark Church 177th Anniversary Mass- After our lengthy restoration, we will celebrate with a mass on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the 5:00 PM to commemorate this milestone in our Church’s history. St. Mark, established in 1845, is the first catholic church in Lower Bucks County.

 

 

 


Sacrament of Confirmation- April 28, 2022 @ 4:00PM @ St. Mark Church with Bishop Edward J. Adams (Titular Archbishop of Scala, Apostolic Nuncio Emeritus). The children in our school, PREP/CCD program and members of our parish will celebrate the sacrament for the first time. Join us in praying for them.  A special thanks to our teachers and catechist who have helped prepare them for this special day. May God Bless and continue to guide them.

Sacred Heart Novena– Make plans to join Deacon Rich on the first Friday of each month for the next 8 months for the Sacred Heart Novena. The 2nd Novena will be July 1st @ 7:00 pm at St. Mark. We will have the Sacred Heart Prayers, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, readings, and reflections in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. 

 


Annual Society of St. Vincent de Paul Clothing Drive- Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM in St. Mark School Lot. Look for the GreenDrop truck in the school parking lot where an attendant will be available to assist you with your donations. Please place your donations of usable men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing in plastic bags or boxes. Household items such as kitchenware, games/toys, small appliances under 50 pounds, electronics, sporting goods, books, CDs & videos are also accepted. Unfortunately, furniture, large appliances, TVs, or computer monitors cannot be accepted. Guest Priest- Join us in welcoming a guest priest, and brother from the Maryknoll Fathers. Father Edward Dougherty was the former head of the Maryknoll and has also served in the African Missions. He will be here on July 9th & 10th, with Brother John Blazo, asking for your support of the missions.

 

 


Novena to Good Saint Anne- Our annual devotion begins on Sunday, July 17th @ 7:00 PM and ends on Monday, July 25th. At our Worship Site.  Hope you can join us.

St. Ann Italian Festival and Carnival- This annual event will take place August 15th through August 20, 2022. Mark your calendars and make plans to join in the fun! Blue Mass- Our annual mass celebrates and prays for our Firefighters, Police and Emergency Personnel. Held on the second Sunday in October. Please join us, as we give thanks and pray for our emergency personnel.  Details TBA for 2022


All Souls Vigil Day Mass to commemorate all the faithful departed-  Date for 2022 TBA. @ St. Mark Church. Letters will be sent to the families of those who we lost this year. Join us in praying for their eternal rest.

Annual Christmas Giving Trees- If you would like to help local needy families this holiday and throughout the year, don’t forget to take an angel from our tree, then return your unwrapped gift with the angel attached to the parish office or purchase a gift card from us before Dec 15th. Thank you and God Bless!  Trees are set up at both churches in Early November. Additional information for the 2022 Giving Trees will be posted her in early November.

 

Christmas Giving Tree Gift Delivery- Our sincere thanks to all our parishioners who opened their hearts and donated to this year’s giving tree. Because of your generosity, Pablo delivered a truck full of gifts and treats which included diapers, baby items, formula, clothing, games, family snacks and goodies, and over $3,500.00 in gift cards to Catholic Social Services in Levittown on December 17th. You made many families very happy this holiday season.


Our Lady of Divine Providence Feast Day Mass- Nov 20, 2022 @ 9:00 AM @ St. Mark Church. Join us to celebrate the patroness of Puerto Rico. Her feast day is celebrated on November 19th. Celebrando Nuestra Señora de la Divina Providencia la Patrona de Puerto Rico.


Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast Day Mass- Mass for 2022 TBA @ St. Mark Church. Feast Day is Dec 12,2022. Join us to celebrate the patroness of Mexico. Misa de la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.


Las Posadas-  This is a religious festival that begins on Dec 16th and runs through Dec 24th. Las Posadas (Inns) commemorates the journey that Mary and Joseph made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where she could give birth to the baby Jesus. A list of hosts can be found in the back of St. Mark church. Church Painting Project- In mid/late January we will begin our much needed and long awaited repairs and painting at St. Mark Church. Please take note that scaffolding will be erected and there may be some inconvenience. This process will take several weeks to complete. Masses will be moved to our St. Ann worship site, until completed. 


February

Feast of Saint Brigid – February 1, 2022.  Mass with the LAOH celebrated February 6th @ 5:00PM

Feast of St. Blaise – February 3rd. Blessing of the throats will take place at all masses the first weekend in February at our St. Ann Worship Site.

Christmas Giving Tree Gift Collection Begins- Details for 2022 TBA. If you would like to help make this Christmas a little brighter for local families, pick an angel from our trees inside our churches. Purchase a gift card from us, or buy a gift and return it to the parish office. Your gifts will benefit Catholic Social Services of Levittown now and throughout the year.
